Life Worth Living

The life we have versus the life we thought we’d have, if we’re honest, they don’t always match. But who are we to say that’s a bad thing?

I think back to college, when I believed I was on a fast track to a long career in the big leagues. What I wanted felt clear. What I couldn’t see at the time was why I wanted it. Somewhere along the way, my love for the game became mixed with a desire for recognition, money, and status. Looking back now, I can see God’s protection in a way I never could then. He didn’t give me what I thought I wanted, and that’s something I’m deeply grateful for today. He is a good Father.
